North Pole - 5 -
The North Pole on ski

This is a place of legend - man struggled against the elements for years for access to it. After Amundsen in his airship and Jean-Louis Etienne on skis, you too can get to the furthest North point of the earth, thanks to Russian savoir-faire.
Many years ago, the Soviets built the Barneo station very close to the Pole. This base, which has a 200-metre landing strip and a camp of heated tents, is currently open to the public.

From Longyearbyen, we will arrive at Barneo in an Antonov 74 twin-engined jet. Transfers with the North Pole are then made by helicopter.
With Cerpolex, a French group responsible for collaborating with the Russians, we can offer you 2 different itineraries, enabling you to arrive at the Pole according to your own capabilities.

The Svalbard Nature Plus :

Before leaving for the Pole, you can acclimatise in Longyearbyen. You will be looked after by a team that knows the region perfectly and will help you discover Spitzbergen and the Arctic North in addition to your trip to the Pole. (We can arrange the activities you want).

The North Pole on ski :

Leaving from Barneo, we cover the last hundred kilometres or so separating us from the Pole on ski — an autonomous trip across the ice floes up to the roof of the world.
After acclimatisation, training and meticulous verification of the equipment in Spitzbergen, we leave for the legendary conquest of the Pole.

To allow you to rise to the challenge, we will be using the latest technologies to help us succeed, like the last explorers of the 20th century.
This trip is a real transpolar trip as you return via Siberia to meet the Dolgan people.

15-day trip - group of 8-10 people
